As a photographer, I get asked a lot about the best locations in Buffalo, NY to capture those picture-perfect wedding moments. I've had the pleasure of shooting in many enchanting spots in our city, but there are three places in downtown Buffalo that are my absolute favorites. Let's explore them together.

Firstly, let's talk about Main Street, especially the Theatre District. It's a magnificent backdrop for any wedding photo. Why? Because of its eclectic mix of architectural styles. The grand and historical Shea's Theatre, with its ornate façade, adds an old-world charm that's hard to replicate. When the sun sets and the theater's marquee lights up, it sets a magical scene for a timeless wedding portrait.

Next up is Niagara Square. It's a central square, but the charm lies in its simplicity. The wide-open space, framed by a variety of architectural styles, provides a clean, modern background. A shot here, with the city's hustle and bustle as your backdrop, will definitely tell a story of your love in the heart of Buffalo.

Travel between these spots can be simply walking, especially if you decide on two of them. Or we can make multiple spots to make sure a larger group stays together. Walking around does give us the advantage of finding magic pockets of lights and using textures and angles in a new way every time.
